LOL...I never did get to do a world tour, it was the one thing I did want to do (before kids). I came very close to going on tour with the WWF with my YAG's (yes multiple) but when the production manager PHYSICALLY grabbed my arm and said..."we all load trucks around here" I told him to his face "F()(K OFF I dont load trucks"!...True StoryYou're ruining one of my little fantasies there... Hey hey, I know good trucking companies, they WON'T let you load anything becuase they insure everything gets there on-time (meaning early) and nothing is broken. I don't blame you for not taking that liability, and respect you for taking on steroided out producers/proformers... Yeah, touring theatre isn't like that at all. If you have teamsters on your docks they'll usually handle all of the loading, but everybody else pushes.
If you have to touch stuff when you're loading a truck, it usually means you don't have your pack down that well.

I dont mind packing my gear, in fact I insist on it, and I dont mind pushing it to a spot for loading, but I wont stay all friggin night loading lighting, sound, trussing & staging and all that bs especially if ORDERED to do so by some hyped upped dousche bag. I dont load trucks, been there done that and have the blown out back to proove it
