Default laser beam leaking what to do??

hello after i made some pic's of my rgb i noticed that the mirrors let some of the beam pass srtaight thru it

should i chance something or can i adjust it?

    leak = power loss

    thanks michael

ps sorry for the poor pictures it was only to show the beam look at the green beam shooting out straight thru

Depending on how much is let through, I'm not sure there is a problem. All galvo mirrors and dichros leak a little, and sometimes with red diode lasers the beam won't even fit entirely on a galvo mirror, resulting in even more losses. These are unavoidable, and based on your pics I'd say your right on target in terms of leakage. You could experiment with some other dichros to see if they might work better..

yes the blue one is shooting out even if it looks green to me

i already have so little power and if i lose half of my blue and green

i dont mind to buy a good dichro set with mounts to have it done properly so if someone has or knows a very good set please contact me

i know that in another post this rgb is for sale but i wont sell it like this only if the leaking is reduced to minimum or zero

    thanks michael

No offence, but have you checked if your dichros are the right way around? I made that mistake once...

I'd say dar303 is possibly right on. I can tell you that zero leakage is impossible, no matter what you do your optics will always leak a tiny bit. Your dichros could easily be poor quality. It's certainly not out of the question, especially when you're talking about factory installed dichros.

    hi

ok zero leakage is impossible but this is a huge leak so if i can increase it i would

but you say to check the dichro you mean just turn it upside down??

and would it be better to buy a good dichro set so the quality would be better than these one's

and if yes what would you recommand?

I wouldn't feel qualified to point you in the direction of good dichros, since I didn't build my RGB myself. It can't hurt to upgrade your optics, since high-quality optics will always reduce power loss. Rotating the ones you have by 180° will help you determine if they are in backwards.

ok i will try this first but it wont be before 2 weeks i am off home now

but i am thinking to buy a good dichro and mount set anyway so even the alignment would be easier to do and i should have less powerloss

    thanks
