Pangolin FB3-QS?

Hi,

Has anyone seen info on the new FB3 card (FB3-QS)? Is it new hardware or just a new bundle?

From the Pangolin forum, Mr Benner wrote:

* Flashback 3 - SE (secure edition -- intended to be installed directly into a laser projector by OEMs)
* Flashback 3 - XE (external edition -- intended to be connected to a PC and used along with LiveQUICK and LivePRO software).
* Flashback 3 - QS (brand new version -- intended to be used with the new Lasershow Designer QuickShow software).

Hope the QuickShow software works with all versions of FB3.

Is the QS the "Beyond" version?

I think QS (quickshow) is just a new bit of software to replace Livequick. Beyond is something bigger and better that this. I remember reading that QS did include some bits of beyond in the way it works.

Quickshow is an upgraded version of Livequick. I'll think you'll be surprised by its capabilities, its more Live Pro than Livequick.

Beyond is another product entirely that will replace LD2000 I believe. For this reason if FB3 owners get Beyond, I would expect it to be a cut down version.

I think this just means it comes with the QuickShow bundle as well as the rest of the software. QuickShow is a free upgrade for CURRENT FB3 users, but they didn't mention whether it would be free to new FB3 buyers

I did read that quickshow included a timeline, does it replace any functions that showrider offered for making shows? Can anyone who has tested it let us know some of the things it can do.

I wanted to make some small shows up but dont want to learn showrider only to find that when quickshow arrives, I have wasted my time.

HI the xe version has dmx out, as far as i am aware qs is an xe but with the new software , i asked bill about quick show last week and he says about two weeks untill release, then again we were told over a year ago new software was coming out for the fb3 (a version of beyond)but that got shelved, so we could have to wait months yet
we shall see.
