Its not considered tracking, it is considered "delivery confirmation" USPS make no guarantees whatsoever of tracking. Only that it will show delivered when it is delivered. They do a piss-poor job of that as well sometimes too. I have shipped things all over the world and our postal system is the worst. Tracking in Iran works better than it does here

I've actually noticed that recently when using USPS delivery confirmation it offers real time info, this is a change from before when you'd only know if the package was delivered.

Re: the tracking number for Parcelforce global priority... Once the package gets into the US the USPS uses a different tracking number. The package is now considered Express Mail.

correct, but nothing is guaranteed. If you complain of the lack of updates they still refer you to the fact it is called delivery confirmation.

Will Customs usually send a letter to the reciever informing them of a rejected package? I don't think my phone number was recorded anywhere, so I don't think they will call me.

UPDATE!

Package just cleared customs!

Hopefully it will be here tomorrow or Thursday!!!
