so you win ben, I give up...

background info... I purchased a "400+ 475nm laserwave" from krazer here

    http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=8879

who traded laser ben for it... here is laser bens original ad:

    http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=8672

thread about the trade, no reference to the power level

    http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ghlight=bridge

yet when I asked Bridge about it, he told me he traded ben a 250mw 473... ok so I need a power meter, who do you go to for power meters? laser ben... so i decided to try and see if he was trustworthy and purchased a scientech lpm from him...

the meter came damaged (fuse holder was destroyed) I informed him of the damage which I repaired and told him not to worry about it (although this also got no response)... my concern was this...

here is my 300mw 532nm laserwave

and here is the 250mw 473nm laserwave that laserben originally advertised as a 400+mw module...

about 335mw... and regardless of its output power, its still a 250mw laserwave, meaning I paid about $3000 in cash and trades for a $2050 laser...

if thats not the definition of getting ripped off I dont know what is

Haven't we been over this one?

When the laser left my hands, it was doing around 450mW, I forget the exact number. I traded it to Krazer who was happy with it, I believe he measured it and confirmed. He traded/sold it to you as a 400mW unit. Somehow, either it was damages in shipping, the meter is wrong, or the laser is dying, it lost power between Krazer and your ends. You should be dealing with Krazer on the issue. It seems unlikely that it would drop from 450mW to 335mW that quickly.

Really? You sent me a PM yesterday, could you quote it? Last one I have from you is on the 16th.

i tested it out this weekend... here is the "300mW" 532nm laserwave I purchased from sbk

seems to be just a hair under .5w

and here is the "400mW-450mW" 473nm laserwave I purchased from krazer after you sold it to him...

    seems to be around 335mW

I let both lasers warm up for about 15 mins... the green drifted back and forth a lot during the initial warm up, and finally settled around 500mW and the blue drifted a little but finally settled between 320 and 350mW

also note that I tried it with the original Chinese switcher it came with and it was doing about the same power just to make sure it wasnt a power supply issue (I'm using a 5v Lambda switcher to power the lasers on my table that it adjusted to exactly 5.00v +/- about .02v according to my fluke volt meter and how the lasers are being modulated, not a fan of Chinese switchers personally)

also the point is, your original ad conveniently failed to state it was a 250mw laser

so then you ripped off Krazer which passed it on to me... presumably unknowingly

and if something did happen to the laser at some point, guess what, laserwave is going to replace it with another 250mw laser, because thats what it was! not a 400mw laser
