Thanks for the kudos, Bridge. Just trying to give a little back to the community...

Well, as Dave already pointed out, I don't fit that stereotype at all. I've been married 23 years, and I have 2 kids.

Ha! I wish that were the case. The truth is that I don't have *enough* time. I'm always bitching about how I don't have time for things... Sigh. Maybe when I retire in 20 years or so... (Assuming that I'll ever be able to afford to retire, that is!)

Edit: I do want to say that I don't think it should be viewed as a "competition"... The post count is just a number, and a pretty meaningless one at that. Truthfully, Steve Roberts has added far more to this forum than I ever could. (To say nothing of his contributions to Sam's Laser FAQ.) Then you've got the contributions of Bill Benner, Pat Bishoff, and other giants in the industry... And don't forget guys like Dave, Aijii, DZ, Stanwax, Bridge, GottaLuvLasers, and others who sell hardware and offer advice to us hobbyists. They certainly deserve their share of credit, for without their excellent customer service we'd all be out in the cold. And what about the man behind the curtain, or beloved Admin? Without Spec's work behind the scenes to keep the forum running, we wouldn't have a place to share all this information... So yeah, just about everyone here does their own part to make PhotonLexicon a cool place. I hope that continues for a long time.

    This about sums it up.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.
