    Unhappy no support from spacelas

    hi all
i wanna tell you about the poor support from spacelas

i couple of weeks ago i ordered the spctrl board from spacelas
i built the compleet laser, but when the dmx signal drops i get a static beam (ttl is working perfect)
i made contact with spacelas and they told me it was a problem in the chip
i asked them if i can fix it and they just say NO
i think if a factory sell's products with a bad chip they have to give any support to fix the problem, but they dont!
i asked them to send me a new working chip so i can replace it myself but they wont.
in other words, i'm still working with a broken interface

so i'm not a happy costumer

Well at least they gave you an honest answer...

Possibly not the whole story here.
Although they refused to send an individual chip, surely you have a guarantee on the board so therefore they'd replace the whole thing?

You can understand a company not wanting users to go wading into their products with soldering irons, making a right balls up and then trying to get their money back.

I have had Spacelas problems in the past - they just didn't want to help out with a problem I had with a 6 month old RGB/DMX board I had of theirs.
Output totally failed from it. They said it was the RGB EEprom chip on the board and there was nothing they would do for me!
I ended up having to purchase a new one
