    Hey Tocket

Why is it called naked DSL anyway?
It a marketing term over here that means it's normal ADSL over POTS (plain old telephony service) but with it disconnected from any exchange service therefore naked of telephony services.

It comes about as we have a carrier (Tel$tra) that has a monopoly over the copper in the streets that charges all other ISP's rental to use the copper for ADSL, this rental cost used to include telephony services even if you didn't use them, so eventually they agreed to suppling services that has a reduced rental cost and no telephony services on it and called it naked.

Hmm, I think the Netherlands have some very nice ISP's, I have casema and I pay E35,- and these are my speeds:

    And, no capacity limits !

Why are my speeds higher when I test my speed with paris as a server?

Life is short.... Ride it hard!!

    Heya All

I think we've found the fastest speed so far, which is neat.
But the real question is who has the worst broadband on the planet.
So far i'm winning or losing depending on how you look at it.

Telstra take a bow, slowest ISP on planet earth

Is there anyone else out there with a worse one?

    cheers

I get 1.2Mb download and .6Mb upload with no caps for £20 a month.
Not bad really to say I live on a boat!

    Hi Robert

I Wish it was a boat like that
Unfortunately I havent won the lottery yet

The best bit is, I had to move my boat to the next mooring along and had to move my phone conection box as well and the speed has gone up to 3Mb.
I only shortened the cable by about ten feet. How good is that.

    Paulk
