    Default LDS Show Pakages

    Hi all,
I was looking through the packages for the LDS2009 suite on http://laserdesignstudio.de/ and I see that he has "over 100" shows available (and even more after that?) to use with his software.
Does anyone here have any first-hand experience with this software and the included shows? How do they compare to something like Pangolin's?

I'm trying to find the best dac/software solution for my projector. I had my heart set on a FB3 but from what I understand it doesn't come with any premade shows at all and doesn't support any of the open software platforms like spaghetti. Ideally I would love to get a QM2000 (even if just for the shows it comes with) but I can't seem to justify the $1500 price tag...

    Thanks!

The FB3 does come with a few premade shows, and there are plenty more on the FTP server. I also have another graphics show or 2 I may be releasing for free.

Phoenix is a fork of LDS, they once bought the sourcecode. Most things will appear familiar when comparing these two programs.
While Phoenix is still being improved and bugs are gettings fixed, LDS does not seem to be making any advances in development lately, but there are rumours that this is going to change in the near future.
If you get LDS for little $ somewhere (eBay etc.) you should consider buying it, creating shows and having first senses of achievement is quite easy with this software and many of the included shows are really nice.

hmmm... that gives me a lot to think about, thanks for your comments.

What about the DAC? How does the FB3 shape up to something like an easylase in terms of hardware quality? I'm thinking the FB3 is higher quality but the easylase has many more programs you can use with it... opinions?
