    Not happy with guido's scanfail?

If you can afford PASS I would go for pass. But Gento's scanfail is the best affordable option I could find.

The Scanfails are on it's way to my home, I will have them latest at Monday.

I could make a side by side review : PASS vs Gento's scanfail when I receive it

So Gento has sent ALL the boards to you and then you'll have to dispatch the board yourself?? Would'nt it be easier and cheaper if Gento sent them directly to the final customer?

Thanks again Maurice for your efforts to arrange this for us.

Sorry, but I have to point this out:

Those LCD's are really common (Especially the non-graphic one).

Almost all alphanumeric LCD's use the HD44780 controller, and this is confirmed by the 16 pin interface on the LCD in the first post.

The graphic LCD looks very similar to a KS0108 LCD I bought a few days ago, and also has the 20 pin interface ...

As stated by Gento; unless ordered with the scanfail; the driver firmware will not be present.

Its no secret that it is a common (cheap) LCD module but the firmware inside the microcontroller is different (or at least a flag in EEPROM is set). In the end you pay for the full development cost not just some components

    Firmware :
    No LCD 15K + Bootloader krypt ;-)
    LCD 18K + Bootloader krypt ;-)
    GLCD >25K +Bootloader krypt ;-)

    Gento
