This version offers better ability to work with dual-core and quad-core processors, as well as higher perceived beam power while using the beam sequencer.

Added support for visualizing lasers in Light Converse.

Added a Master Brightness capability for beams.

Also added the action for DMX Input.

Enabled the ONLINE button to be visible in the Simplified user interface
    mode.

Disabled the ability to select and change the routing of zones when in
    User mode.

Fixed problem seen with snapshots which would create a slow rotation if
    a snapshot was activated.

Fixed problem in moving and copying cues from one location to another.

A few fixes and improvements to the MIDI capabilities.

    Other minor improvements and fixes.

I spent ages to find out what I am doing wrong and it wasn't me...
How could this get so far as in to 4.5 version?

Does anybody know what's changed with this update? Is there a changelog available?

    Cheers

A copy-paste of the What's new in the help file :

    July 2009 -- Version 5.00

Added support for visualizing lasers in Light Converse.
Added the ability for the Master Brightness control to also control the brightness of beams.
Also added the action for DMX Input.
Added information on the "Cue to track" feature. This feature has been in LivePRO for a while, and experts like Glenn Turner and Hugo Bunk use it a lot, but it wasn't documented up until now.
Enabled the ONLINE button to be visible in the Simplified user interface mode.
Disabled the ability to select and change the routing of zones when in User mode.
Fixed problem seen with snapshots which would create a slow rotation if a snapshot was activated.
Fixed problem in moving and copying cues from one location to another.
A few fixes and improvements to the MIDI capabilities.
Made a note in the help file about Stopping the Winamp plugin before exiting Winamp.
    Other minor improvements and fixes.
Although it's not related to work done with version 5.0, Laser Insanity Productions has created a LivePRO training course on DVD. The cost is a very reasonable £75.

Could easily have been broken by the fix before it.

Also as a small company they probably only have a limited number of testers so occasionally something gets through. I guess that's where end user feedback helps.

This is why its important to report strange behaviours via the Pangolin contact form as they may not even be aware of it. I reported the problem some months ago and got a fixed version within 36 hours from Bill. I think it was also detailed on a thread on the Pangolin forum.
