Thread: My second RGB laser projector build

Thanks guys for your ideas. I think I'll put it all together with RGY and eventually 100mW 405nm which I have just waiting for some use. Then I'll add the argon without blanking just to check if that is a good idea at all (I mean 488 as blue). Then I'll think what to do with it further.

I just got aluminum base for my projector, it's 40x45cm. I'm planning to place all stuff as shown in the picture (there's no 405nm module yet). There are two dichros and two HR mirrors in kinematic mounts, one more HR mirror will be needed to adjust blue beam direction. Mirror in the left bottom corner is to move the beam to higher level because my galvo mount is pretty high. I'm also thinking of adding a safety shutter somwhere there.

    Any comments or ideas?

What do you mean? Which diodes?

That's coming along nicely, true DIY.

Some progress Home made kinematic mounts works just perfectly. I got yellow beam Now I have to glue the second HR mirror to the mount and direct the beam to the upper galvo and build a LD driver for red laser (now I'm using my "universal" regulated driver). Then it will be ready to play with popelscan But that tomorrow :P

    Cool

It might just be the angle of the photo but you appear to be hitting the longer Y galvo first?

The beam hits the upper galvo first, but it's X, not Y. Is that what you meant?

No, it must be the photo, it just looks like the beam strikes the long mirror first.

Yep, then it's the photo, because both mirrors are rectangles of the same size :P
