la studio problems

hiya everyone.

im currently programming a show to the song blood sugar by pendulum. i like this cause it has text at the start for a mixed beam and graphics show.

i started up showriders show designer and started from scratch by making the whole start of the show with different text options and effect. now im at the point where the text stops and the music cuts in which is where im going to start the beam show.

i have hit a bit of a brick wall really as showriders show editor doesnt seem to have a shape creator built into the software itself (i want to make basic shapes and use the effect editor to manipulate them for a better show)
everything else is built into the editor except a shape editor as far as i can see.

i have found a way around this which is going out of the editor and into live quick, creating the shapes i want then exporting them to showrider but this is very long winded.

there has to be an easier way of doing this but i dont really know how. i may be being silly and the answer is right under my nose but at the moment i cant find out how to do it.

please help me.

also if anyone has anytips on making creating the show easier could you please help

where is the timeline editor in quickshow? i started using the quick timeline but it only allowed me 15 seconds

yes it does called quick draw but if i run draw 3d whilst showrider is running it tells me i have to shutdown showrider before running draw 3d. it wont let me run 2 la studio aplications at once.

this is very tedious as i want to be able to add different shapes as i progress with the show and having to close showrider and save it everytime i want a different picture is becoming exremly annoying.

the reason im so baffled is that there are text editors, astract editors, effect and key effect editors and other editors built into showrider which comes as a help but the main one i feel is a shape editor which seems to be the only one not built into showrider. just seems very strange to me.

its making creating a show extremly long winded and annoying, this cant be how other people are doing this. im feeling there must be a better way of creating a show in showrider.

any help from anyone who has used showrider to create a show would be great

sorry for the double post but i have now come to the conclusion that show rider is a very un-user friendly program. i needed to delete something from the line so did so but ended up deleting someting i wanted so needed to undo my delete. usually there is an undo button but cannot find one anywhere in showrider. im starting to get very frustrated cause i had done alot of the show and deleted my entire position line for track 1. i expected to be able to go back to the top and click undo but there was nothing there

im really wanting to start creating custom shows but its becoming a nightmare with showrider. im sure all of this can be done as other people make shows using this software and if these simple problems were present when they were creating shows im sure they would have mentioned it. im just really stuggling at the moment to use it.

please please please someone help me or im gonna end up throwing my laptop and my fb3 in the tip and i dont want that. lol

i think you should probably log an issue with Pangolin about the 16 second limit on Quick timeline. I'd guess it is fairly useless as it is and I can't believe they intend it to be functional in that state. Perhaps a bug thats crept in (at a hopeful guess - its very new so gonna have some teething probs)

The best way to get support for a Pango product is to contact them through their site, or even call them. You'd be surprised what hours Bill is awake and at the office.
