I'll ask if I can bring it.
I don't know what power it is, not too bright, just 1 mW or something.

The power supply I have has been used on a +-30cm tube generating about 10mW.

I do not know how interchangable these power supplies are.
I believe it was 2400V and has a 12KV starting voltage.

It also has an alden connector and works on 110 - 220 VAC

Does the head have a sticker on it? Most tubes have a sticker stating the output power and required tube current, voltage and starting voltage. If you can source a PSU that matches the latter three values, it will work.

or if you can take a picture of the supply's guts, for us to have a look at what could be blown

if that's only a component and I have it in "stock", it is only 2 days of shipping to you

If you have some nice laser gear at your home, I could pic it up in person .
I don't have the laser at home now, nor the time as I'm at the start of my exams (maths went fine this morning, thank you). I was a bit reluctant to examine the PSU too closely as I had just read some horrifying stories about high voltage, big scary capacitors etc. The PSU is old and so are the capacitors. They really look big and scary!
Anyway, thank you for your help guys! I really appreciate it. If I had the time...

"nice laser gear" is too much lol, I only have bits of lasers waiting for finances

I have some scanners, grenn dpss lasers (100mW), some red diodes waiting for their double setup, and things like that

I also have spare parts gathered for when I have more experience, like a coherent verdi YAG rod in mount, a 488nm direct doubled diode project, etc...

I hope I'll be able to make a small meeting at my home next easter for laserfreak members, and any PL member willing to come would be welcome! it would be nice to make a cross-forum LEM
