    Default Laserworld ES-630 and ILDA/DAC

    Hi,

This question might have been answered before but I cant find any info on my particular unit.

As I can read from the spec sheet of my projector the X/Y axis on the Laserworld unit needs 10v +/- while all the usb DACs Ive found supply 5v +/-.

Could anyone out there suggest what DAC to get for this projector and do any of you have any experience with the model?

    Regards,

So long as the DAC has differential outputs; you will have +-10v as one leg will go +5v as it's sister goes -5v = 10v difference.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

As I read the tech docs +10v and -10v (hence 20v) is needed on this unit. Gonna take a look at the Moncha DAC.

    Cheers!

If these are Laserworld 20k scanners; they are actually 12k scanners. Have a look at the attached manual. If they are the same sa these they will work just fine with any DAC.

Thanks, does this mean that the Moncha Lite package would be sufficient for this laser unit?

Yes Moncha Lite will work fine. Just keep it in mind; the Moncha Lite DAC is hardware limited to 12k, so if you decide to fit faster scanners you'll have to upgrade your DAC too.
