While it doesn't apply to the diodes in this GB, I figure I'll post this here anyway for those who might want it since the topic of red diode datasheets came up.

The LCC (long-die closed can) red diode datasheet (red diode from the GGW sled)

Now if we could just get positive IDs on some of these blu-rays..

Yea i would really like to know some info about the volts and amps im supposed to use with these 405nm GGW´s

i know for the old PH´s but these are supposed to be stronger, so im guessing more power.. but how uch. :P

so the red open cans from the ggw are slightly lower powered than normal LOC, didnt know that.

    im learning so much today

    its not a LOC diode

I good 'safe' current for the GGW is around 180-190mah

The LCC Red from the GGW is not a fragile as the LOC. I have been running mine @ 400mah without any hiccups.

They are rated at a slightly lower power, but as jaycey said, they are not as fragile as the LOC. I've killed several LOCs through accidental back-reflection from various kinds of optics (even AR-coated optics), but so far I haven't killed any LCCs and I've used both in the same ways. Also, the die isn't exposed, so they don't require as much care when handling. I much prefer the LCC, myself.

    Just a question.

    I unpacked the boxes today.

    i ordered
    10x 815
    10x GGW

    and all boxes have sleds.

I thought i read somewhere that the GGW was not going to have any SLeds?

just making sure i havent got the wrong boxes.

Remember These are only For the 405nm Diode.
and these data´s are for running the diode in safe and long lasting 100hours +>
