    Default ALC909 Whitelight Pictures :0)

I have given my new ALC909 Whitelight (Lexel 88 PSU) a run up tonight and thought I would share some photo's with everyone.
This is the whitelight laser Simon @ Showlaser.dk had for sale.
I had it running just on tap water tonight but I do have a pump, reservoir and fan cooled cooling radiator to add to it all at some stage.

It seemed very odd to be outputting 1.5Watts of whitelight in virtual silence! Only the odd gurgle from the running water Compared with my old ALC68 + PSU air cooled jobby!! that sounded like a bloody jet taking off!

It's got a very nice 'Gold' line in the output which reminds me of my old CuBr

The last three photo's, showing output lines, are taken, via a DG, from the HR end of the head and not the OC end

All DG shots are via a very cheapo DG I got from Ebay hence the dodgy shaped blues.

    Hello Jim

Nice to see that the laser survived the trip and is still putting out a reasonable amount of power.. Hope it was not too much trouble to free it from the pallet and put it together..

You should be able to get a bit more power out by cleaning and adjusting the mirrors..

About your question in another thread about the polarization of this laser, i will try and ask the guy i got it from - but i remember that he said that it could be modulated with a pcaom - i dont think he would say that if it meant throwing half the power away because it was not polarized.. Will let you know..

Good luck with the laser, and looking forward to receiving the halfnote :-)

    Regards, Simon

    Hi Simon.

The HN is on it's way to you as of yesterday.

It fired up straight away Simon after popping the 32A breaker in my House Dis board as the HV caps charged up

Works a treat! I LOVE the gold line

Thanks, it will be good to find out for sure about the Polarisation.
