Hello all,
I am currently looking for really low priced red c-mounts, preferrably 635nm but may also be 650. Need a good price and 250-300mW.
Hello all,

This will give you poor beam spec.
you can buy small beam 300mW 640nm or 658nm, which will cost you a little more but much better beam Spec.
Best regards!
Bridge

Hi Bridge,
Thanks for your answer. What i need this for is my RGB Lasersystem (from Hungary) RED laser module. This laser draws like 12 AMPS for the cooling and uses very old electronics. Then it draws 6 AMPS to fuel the diodes. Last night i opened up the package and the optics was BEAUTIFUL.
Really a masterpiece of optics !
Will post pics, i didn't want to spoil the fun already before i could take pictures.
But it's like 8 c-mounts mounted in a copperblok with a very large TEC under it.
It's total output was 440+150mW (it outputs 2 beams) which needed to be combined in a PBS. all the Cmounts go through optics , then mirrors and then out the 2 holes.
After i bought it, one of the employees said: "It used to do 1.4Watts !"
After that remark he was shut up by the boss of the company who quickly changed subject. Felt kinda ripped off and not at ease. I just bought something that "used to do 1.4W and now only did 600". Not so nice.
Mind you this was the first laser i bought, after having known PL and it's lovely community. Felt kinda ripped off, although it performed as was said, since they said it did 600mW (i only expected one beam, but they supplied a good quality RGB lasersystem PBS cube) so was ok.
But.... the old electronics gets VERY hot and i want to replace the electronics and want to use a Die4Chill or something maybe heavier to cool this beast and restore it in it's old glory. Having 8x250 or 8x300mW before optics would give me a cool box right ?
Unfortunately it was C-mounts i hoped it was using "normal" can diodes, that would have made things easier (and cheaper!).
Will post pictures of this beautiful 8 way diode setup for educational purposes ;-)
Only have to pick up a good cam, since i don't own one (except my Nokia phone cam).
Any tips how to drive multiple diodes of one driver are welcome. Any tips on where to buy cheap C-mounts in red are also welcome.

I haven't bought from them, but I've heard good things about the seller. I have no idea about the product itself though.
Looking forward to those pictures...

I suffer from the Dunning–Kruger effect... daily.
Hi Thanks Mo!
I know Snoctony since i bought a nice 2W 808nm from him.
Only problem is that thing was brand spankin' new and cost like 95$.
A red 635 costs 220$ (and i need 8 ;-)
So i think i'll pass. If i could buy them for like 20$ each i would buy 10 ;-)
