Default Melles Griot laser and optics theory

I don't know if this has ever been posted, but Melles Griot has some extremely good public resources available. There's an incredible wealth of knowledge here:

    Optics: http://www.cvimellesgriot.com/Compan...uperGroupid=27

    Lasers: http://www.cvimellesgriot.com/Compan...SuperGroupid=1

    Opto-mechanical devices: http://www.cvimellesgriot.com/Compan...uperGroupid=26

This is one of the most generally informative articles in the above links:
    http://www.cvimellesgriot.com/produc...eam_Optics.pdf

All for free, from one of the worlds most respected laser authorities. Can't beat that..

Newport has a "diffraction grating handbook". Really nice, hard-covered book (printed), 260 pages with theory of diffraction phenomenon, and you can order it for free at their website

    Doc's website

The Health and Safety Act 1971

Recklessly interfering with Darwin’s natural selection process, thereby extending the life cycle of dim-witted ignorami; thus perpetuating and magnifying the danger to us all, by enabling them to breed and walk amongst us, our children and loved ones.

It's in 'Products' -> 'Order catalog', the second position:
    http://www.newport.com/webrequest/de...p=21&lang=1033
    Really nice book

While looking for the handbook I found something like that "cool tips" at Melles website:

The handbook is free too, it looks nice on a shelf ( ), and you don't need internet access or even a computer to use it - that's the main advantage of printed books Besides that, it's also available for download.
