    Thumbs up

Hi Bridge, I have received the dichro's.

First test results look very promising, I measure a loss off transmit of red trough the blue dichro less than 3%. compared to 14% loss on the old dichro.

Reflectivity looks almost similar but on transmit there is a huge improvement.

When I have finished all test (is still difficult do accurate measurements with cheap DPSS, I so need a Coherent compass laser ) I will post a new topic with the results.

I looking forward to test the new PBS cubes.

Then again the modulation characteristics of most coherent compass are pretty non-existent.

Look what came in the mail today!

As a start, They are thicker than the old LaserWave dichro's and the coatings look awesome! More to come in a new thread....

    Hi Adam,
Pleasure to hear you had received the package, .

Yes, as many customer tell us the thin dichro is difficult fixed to our mirror mount, that's why we do thicker than before, upgrade our coating and more easily for building, Laserwave always consider your requirement and thanks for all of you valued advice.
    Best regards!

Yes, I like the thickness. I was having a problem with my originals being too thin as well. I'm going to setup my test jig over the weekend and should have some results and pics soon.

I just received the set sent to me. It may be a day or so until I can test them; I need to get the stereo I got the boss for Christmas installed before I play...

nice to know that was not just me! i always had a hard time mounting the LW dicros, and i even chipped a LW dicro trying to mount it in the 15mm mount... the 25mm dicro in the mount was significantly easier though

    Exclamation

Here are some first test result I measured with a stable 400mW 655nm dual setup combined with a pbs so H+V polarized.

I measured with a Coherent FielmaxII with a PM3 head.

(Please note the old dichro's are 1 year old and can be a little bit dirty, but they look clean)

    Red no dichro = 400mW
    Old reflect dichro = 372mW = 93% eff ( 7% loss)
    New reflect dichro = 390mw = 97,5% eff ( 2,5% loss)

(this measurement was measured trough the galvo mirrors)

No reflect blue dichro = 312mW red
Old reflect blue dichro = 264 mW red = 84,6% eff (15,4% loss)
New reflect blue dichro = 303 mW red = 97,1% eff (2,9% loss)

    Overal very big improvements.

    Good work Bridge!
