From those perspectives you can't really see the difference in elevation of the diode mounts. Once you take that into account, it makes perfect sense.

It produces two beams on top of each other for each aixis.

Beam diameters have EVERYTHING to do with "careful shimming" to get the beams edge to edge without clipping.

Current setup works with beam diameters up to .16".

    Its all there
Ah! Now I see... Yeah that looks pretty damn good. I may just have to buy one of those. Looks like fun!

look carefully for the shim stock below the holders. 300evil has the pattern, the 4 diodes closest to the flexmods are raised above the 4 diodes closest to the routing mirror and PBS.

Just one ickle suggestion; if the mounting holes for the drivers were moved slightly inboard of the the main baseplate fixing screw centre line, it would allow the fitting of a dust proof enclosure over the whole assembly (plexi of course, that thing is a work of art!).

2 drivers for 8 diodes! an improvement needs to be made there.

also what size beam are you expecting out of this? its going to be massive

    2 Drivers?
If im not missing something here. i think i remember correctly that DrLava told me that only one Driver would be needed to run atleast 10 x 405nm.

im very interested in this setup. altough him building one myself but not anyway near this nicely build. Great work.

    ANy price idea?

Using some Lens 27's it should be possible to have a 4x4mm beam.

yeah im sure the driver will, but with no diode being the same i would rather have more drivers.

i know them lens are good, but i will believe it when i see it on a setup like this
