I'm curious, was your "vendor" Laser Ben? I remember seeing a similar argon setup that he was selling and it had 179 hours on it at the time and advertised at 175mW

This is correct, I received the laser as a replacement for a 10w waveguide CO2 laser that arrived without any CO2 (presumably due to it having been thrown off a truck by UPS).

I just read the question and answer on the ebay listing regarding the key switch, that's interesting.

Also, did you ever ask Ben about the output power? Maybe it got misaligned during shipping?

I assume this is the case, I have to note that I spent a little time twiddling the alignment and got a ~10% power increase. I don't really know how to walk the beam, so I am selling it as doing ~110mw.

I got it today! Absolutely gorgeous! I love the color of this beam! I measured 99mW at full power, but I'll try walking the beam to see if I can get it a little higher. Thanks again!
