Test analogue modulation with Pangolin FB3 ?

Ok, i finished my projector today.
It's the first green (1 Watt) and it should be analogue modulated.
I want to test the analogue modulation.

Just installed all the software that came with the FB3.
Using the quick target beams and playing with the slider i can change the intensity of the beam and fade it in and out. But using the brightness slider in Quickshow when an animation plays only shows the fading in the preview window, not to the actual laser output.

I am kinda lost. How can i simply test the analogue modulation ?
I use the intensity signal on the breakout board that came with the scanners.

So all the animations that came with FB3 play just fine, only fading doesn't seem to work.

Did you use the intensity or the rgb output ?

The intensity output of the fb3 is ttl.

Yes, the intensity pin is indeed TTL. Single color lasers should be connected to the red channel (even if they're green or blue).

Are we going to see this new laser over here any time in 2010 Mr Hobby ???

There should be an LEM coming up soon at the Leicester venue OR Surfleet is primarily pencilled in for sometime around June

I was already wondering that when i choose single color it only let me change the red channel...

The reason for this is that in the past almost all single color laser were made with a red laser.
Now these days with the new DPSS technology it is more logic to get a single color green laser.
Maybe it is time to change this....
So as said before, just connect your modulation signal to the red color signals and everything
should be ready to go

Oh Yes sir mr. Smoggy it is coming over the the UK in 2010
Just name the exact date and i will take some days off...
I hope it will be in Surfleet, as i have seen the Leicester one.
But anyway i will come over. Hopefully a little longer than just one day ;-)

Hopefully by that time with an RGB as well....
Photos will follow, but as it was my last day off and tomorrow i have to start working again tomorrow this will come somewhere this week.
I also noticed it will take me some time to learn the software as well. I was able very easy to play the build in animations, but had a hard time designing something of my own.

Thanks this helped indeed ! I encountered some bugs this evening.
When using the liveplayer Showrider i experienced some crashes when playing some shows with MP3. Also clicking a lot in Quickshow got it to sometimes just stop in the middle of an animation.
Output from the FB3 stopped, the preview hang and the laser refused to output.
Restarting the software got it to run again. With some shows i was able to replicate the error around a certain time in the show again and again. So will contact Francesco soon.
