Any body using large 9-10mm aperture scanners? Looking at available options. Preferably US sellers. Have a set of greek em4000's that work well. Just checking to what else is available.

If you can let me know the approximate mirror dimensions of your EMS mirrors and you are happy with the sizing, I can let you know what we have that is equivalent. We have something like 8 mirror sets available for these scanners.

... for a test project I've replaced the 6mm-mirrors on the cheap chinese galvos with different sizes from 8x8mm to 16x16mm.
With slower scanning speeds, than used for shows, it was "stable" with up to 14x14mm size, but had to adjust the trimpots for 16x16mm to reduce the resonancies.
But then, for even bigger mirrors I've changed to servos instead of galvos and mirors with up to 45x45mm and 5mm thicknes.
Had to build different galvo-mounts and "glueing helpers" to fix the mirrors on the axis ...

"Help, help, I'm being repressed!"
... interestingly enough, I found some "remnants" of the test project with the cheap galvo scanners - the last mirrors on the galvos were even 20x20mm in size!
Attached an image with the 20mm-mirrors, where the lower mirror was wrecked/exploded by a modulated 8mm wide CW-laserbeam with roughly 17 Watts @1070nm!
On the right the original galvo mounts and the small original mirrors.
And here a video of the test setup with the servos (after replacing the galvos to handle bigger/heavier mirrors) and 45x40mm mirrors, burning with around 20 Watts @1070nm on a black tile - https://vimeo.com/95512748

What kind of servos are you using? Curious how you get enough resolution?
Ordered a set to today. Very excited to get them! Ryan was very helpful getting me sorted out. Thanks Ryan. Always amazed how helpful the guys are at pangolin when you call them.
