We shot 2 litres of smoke fluid in to the sky on Saturday night!

Thanks everyone for a great weekend, and especially to Jim for sorting it all out and finding such a great venue! I will have to poke though my photos and pick out a few good ones.

Great to see everyone again, and also everyone's work, I commented several times on the amazing rate at which the projectors in attendance have moved on since the first meet back in 2007. Reckon we should all have 20W RGBs by the next one!

All in all, fantastic weekend, great opportunity to play and learn, and picked up a lot of good tips for my next project, and with only the bare minimum of small trouser fires!

But luckily for us he was a great fan of Vangelis, so he dug lasers and turned out to be ok after all.
I take it was a good job you got NATS clearance then. Bet that p*ssed the coppers off when they thought they'd got an easy bust!

Still on a quiet night, what could be worse sitting in the car bored waiting for criminals or going to a laser meeting?

Pity the LEM's not still not going as air traffic is grounded and a smoke machine called Eyjafjallajokull is currently smoking the sky for you. Could have saved those 2 litres!

I have to agree with all the comments
Yes it was a great meet, yes they get better and better and yes the time flies by far too quickly!
Brillant weekend chaps - wish it was every weekend! Well done to our host Jim and providing my highlight for the weekend which was nearly a watt of multiline argon light Hats of to you for your efforts there.
Special thanks to our two intrepid travellers from another land Francesco and Dimitri.
All I will say is we will have the scope working for the next one! See you all there.
Included is one pic - the group fot from Sunday and named for clarity.
Thanks again all who attended for making this a fab weekend.

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

    BEST LEM YET ! !

Hey guys , great to see everyone and JIM - superb HUGE thanks for making it all happen !

This was my favourite LEM yet as I learned about MIDI ( thanks andy and yag ), really adds another dimension to projecting and loved the learning curve , also enjoyed being able to stay in the hall and project until 2am ! some great stuff goin on outside too , some superb tree projecting !

Thanks to everyone , had a great weekend.

Yep, that'll be mine, I'll drop you a line to see how to deal with that. If anyone left a high quality projector, that'll be mine too. Honest!

Thanks Jim for the organisation. Everyone there was very welcoming and deserves thanks for one thing or another. Jim, for having a look at my piffling 20mW argon; Andy for the ali plate and cleaning an equally piffling pointer lens; Dimitri for your sheer enthusiasm and raffle prize, (which I left behind, agh!); Jem for an insight into holography and Bhudda ; Franscesco, (sic), for a quick LPM calibration; Jim again for a few lovely pies, (Well, Jim's Mum!); Whoever was responsible for the earplugs - These came in REALLY handy!; Rob for a reason to hang around at the end - It was well worth arriving home late for; and everyone else who welcomed the noobie. It was impossible for me to remember everyone's names and nicknames so please consider yourselves all thanked personally.

I look forward to putting another date in my diary for the next one.

The rest of the pics will be done next weekend as I can't upload at college. I couldn't bring much to the party this time so I hope they will surfice as my contribution.

    Thanks again,

    M
