do we need insurance to light fireworks?
i have some big chinese jobbys and i think the instructions tranlate as "light fuse, run like hell".
should make the party go with a bang !

Seriously though, and someone has to say it... This sort of stuff puts an awful lot of stress on Jim, both prior to and throughout the LEM. Please be considerate and contact him by PM to ask his permission before even considering bringing this sort of stuff. It's not that anyone is wanting to spoil the fun, but at the end of the day once the LEM's over we all leave to our respective corners of the country. Jim has his community to consider and he can't run away.

On a serious note, I must reiterate the fact that this is primarily a laser meet and not a 'bring the most explosive item you can find' meet

Fireworks are fun but not always fun for neighbours.
Noise has also been mentioned as a slight issue in the past, but this is a village hall that holds discos, party's etc so what can they expect!! but the people complaining, I don't know exactly who it was but I can guess!, where moaning of noise around 22:00hrs. I believe the 'quiet' night period is normally 23:00hrs to 07:00hrs so I won't worry to much about that one.
As long as we are quiet up until 23:00hrs then we are within the law.

I don't want to put a dampener on proceedings in any way but as Jem has said, I have to pick up the pieces and live with whatever happens here when everyone else has gorn home
