Does anyone recall what the wi-fi Internet situation is at SELEM? Assuming there is access available, if anyone knows if it worked well enough for Skyping and/or limitations regarding its coverage over the various spaces in the venue will you please let me know?

Definitely fast enough for skype voice. Not sure about video though. Usually pretty good, but there might be dead zones. Back stage (behind the main curtain) is fine.

I might show up if I have a job by then. Until then, I need to cut back on expenses more than I already have. I hope everybody has fun. I heard last year was better than 2012 and it sounds like it will be even better this year.

oddly enough, i had a dream about visiting SELEM this night and the dream was an excerpt from LSX presentation by dkumpula, note that this is a dream so features mentioned here are a fiction
he was demonstrating a way of applied physics equations in LSX to create a lava lamp effect to laser graphics, you know - balls of slime ascending in the middle where the lamp spot is heating the fluid and descending on sides of the lamp where the fluid is cooler
then there were similar slime effects with bubbles that pop and leave a mess of oily stains (you must imagine all this in laser graphics, in the dream i WAS taking screenshots to my imaginary laptop and making notes in Word but it was all only imaginary, oh well...)
after that he demonstrated a voice controlled addon to TouchOSC android program, where he could control lasers similar as you have with google on android devices, and even creation of simple graphics and that all while swami in the auditorium was giving him a call from his cellphone

i know you guys probably don't use android phones anyway but it was just a dream and i felt like in a david copperfield show full of laser magic i wish i could visit someday...

FYI, I'm working on some intense beam shows. Adam has seen one of them already. Hoping to have a second (and maybe a third) done by the time I get to SELEM, assuming I get there. :-)

I told them we'd need it when I arranged the special room rates, but I haven't spoken with Cassie since. She's the manager though, and if she knows, we should be golden. I guess I should call her again to remind her now that we're getting close.

Yes, $84 per night. Just booked about an hour ago.
