Default Old Spectra-Physics 125 System For Free

I was just contacted by a guy in Livingston, NJ offering me an operational SP-125 system free for the hauling. I have four. It will go to the dump next week if a new home isn't found. If anyone here wants it, let me know and I'll forward his contact info.

Looks like it may be going to Holography Studios in NYC, to live again. Thanks for the responses! I hate to see old lasers in the dumpster.

If the Holo guys don't grab it, it would go to an undergrad teaching lab here, and lase the orange lines it never dreamed of lasing in its spare time.
I have friends there who know how to handle it and can pick it up. Then I can go get it.

I've used them for a day or so in the past, and worked on the RF, but I've never owned one.. I've been offered dead ones and nearly bought ones modified for 3.39 with large bores, but never owned a working one.

Teach with it, about Doppler velocity measurements and light scattering from polymers is the short answer. Then in the summers, well the search for Sam's 608.9 line..

Upstairs in my storage room at work is an optical table, waiting to be used for teaching.

NO, I have a house crammed with gear... Someday I should just invite SELEMers to a private if you see it, grab it, session. Then I would have a nice empty house. Been collecting since I was 12, and Eidetic's room is NEAT and Organized compared to mine. Did I mention the Amish made Mini Barn? I have to dig the tractor out to mow...
The 125 would go to "Planet Polymer" aka live at U of A... For I am not worthy of, nor would I want to lift alone, a six foot long three inch diameter Invar rod..

There are only two perks to not having a wife and children:
    1. Unlimited Lab Gear*
    2. Drama is slightly reduced**.
    ~
    * A 450$ Dumpster Session is needed every two years and comes with tears.
** Church, Work, and Relatives still supply Drama.

    ~
My collection is small compared to some professional friends of mine.
