    Laser Warning Laser Photonics

Well I got this laser off ebay, before I left for TN and before, everything went crazy..
But its a CO2 Waveguide laser made by Laser Photonics its a model: CL-55-A000
    Ser # :890421-490
    made in May 1989
Well after letting it run for about an hour it went form 1 watt to 3 watts.
And after putting blue paper in front of it, it blows holes in it like crazy!!!
I also had it pointed at my wall and I have burn holes in it now... I wish I could try more with itm but theres only so much you can do when your hidding behind a door due to the fact I dont have safety glasses for it yet and 10500nm scares me
    Ill post some pics. soon!
Oh does anyone have any info on this thing?

Any acrylic safety shield or goggles will work. The idea is that you'll detect the beam melting through and move out of the way! Just demonstrates that the best thing for safety is control and termination of the beam path.

    Hey DJMatt,

Have fun with your new CO2 but, be careful when decide to melt Plexiglas as some varieties of it give off poisonous fumes.
