Default My attempt at some raster scanning!

Well, considering I have only 20K galvo's, and they are poorly tuned, I was expecting total crap from raster images. Well, it actually worked suprisingly well! The 1st image is an actual raster image, and the last one is not a tru raster image, its just a bunch of lines, which I then held something infront of the beam, creating a raster image effect!

There is quite abit of flickering, but it works!

    Cool

    Nice job, things!

To make raster scans look better, it helps to reduce your scan angle to around 3 degrees. Also, you can usually bump your scan speed up by 20-25% or so, as long as you've got the angle really small like that. (Just don't forget to set it back to normal speed when you increase your scan angle afterwards!)

Very cool effect with the shadow of the sword... I like it!

I wouldn't mind seeing some rasta scanning set to so good Bob Marley music.

    From Wikipedia:
The Rastas are a heavily armed group in eastern Congo that engage in rape and other violent crimes.
Surely that's not what you meant?

My original reply was going to be something along the lines of "you can't show the purple haze with only red, yellow, and green..." But then I wanted to be sure I had the definition right, so I wiki'd it. That's when I found out about the other Rasta definition, and it was too good to let it go!

Just yankin' your chain a bit there, Gary!

You ought to ask Aaron (Allthatwhichis) about the time I was viewing his live broadcast on Ustream.tv while working nights at work. I had a co-worker with me who was curious... So I called Aaron and told him to fog up the room, point the camera at the projector, and load up a beam show. Aaron says, "just a minute - let me fire up my 2-lung fog machine."

Live on the internet... It doesn't get any better than that!

I understand that since then he's purchased a proper fog machine...
