Default Ever wondered what happnes when...

You buy a bottle of First Contact lens cleaner - then put it in your car's side pocket for safe keeping, then leave the car in the hot sun until the inside reaches 30-40 (maybe even hotter) degrees cel ?

    I give you:

Given the amount of solvent in there, you may have got away lucky not to have had the car burn down!

Hang on, this must be a joke, I can't believe you reached those temps in Scotland, or even that amount of sustained sunshine.... what is it, about 4 hrs daylight this time of year?

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I'd bet 60-70 deg celsius is not out of question. Remember car is actually a greenhouse on wheels

No, this happened in the carpark at work on Monday afternoon. (Drove back from Lem, to work Monday)

Probably the weirdest thing is that apart from a fairly soaked packet of Rizla's there is no trace of the bloodbath..

And indeed, it reached about 23 degrees on Monday afternoon, in Scotland.. and it's been humid ever since, shame the bloody car didn't burn down as I'd quite like a new one.. allthough I'm not sure if I could suffer the loss of my laptop or newly accquired smoke machine!

    Ho hum, lesson learnt.
