    Default A 6 diode 445nm build :)

Well, I guess the pic speaks for itsself..

I started work on this late arfternoon today, then Aijii dropped over this evening to help put the bits together and align it.. and its still very much a work in progress, but maybe if I find some time tomorrow Ill get a bit more finished ( and I might even add laseorbs if I get around to it )

This module was conceived late last week when a 1/2 waveplate arrived from Simon to test.. So I guess this was primarily a test bed for the waveplate.. And the waveplate works pretty well. A bit of loss, which Ill try to measure at some stage in the coming days.

beam is less than 5mm, less than 2mrad.

Would anybody be interested in a basic kit for this? ( no housing, just a oem style base plate with all the bits and pieces )

Next on the list >10w 445 with a usable beam. And the other colours to add to the mix

    paraphrasing ALL THAT,

Soon I guess the beam from the 6W is less than 5mm, less than 2mrad - not super low divergence, but better than a Chinese 5w green in terms of divergence.. I think we can do about the same with ~10W

Work finished this morning, and a pretty poor quality iPhone pic. the spot is just under 5mm Should just fit on a set of DT40's, or will definitely fit on the 6.5mm aperture EMS4000's we will have spare real soon

    OK, here goes

Price wise, I would be looking for $295USD plus shipping.

    The kit would include:

    Aluminium base plate (anodised )
    6 brass diode housings
    6 mirror mounts and mirrors
A mount for the wave plate, and all screws.

What you would need to supply would be:

    6 o-like lenses
    6 445nm diodes
drivers( 2 flexmods will do all 6 diodes )
a 1/2 wave plate (p1t8ull will be doing a group buy soon )
    a pbs cube
    optional tec and driver

would you actually need a waveplate? can't you just rotate some diodes for h-pol and the others for v-pol?

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
