    Question ILDA breakout and cable

    Hi guys,

I have been looking around for an ILDA breakout board and an ILDA cable. These look ok to me, is there anything I should look out for?

I have used these in the past and they were nice.
But if you really want to built your projector correctly in 1 time, take a look at Rob Stanwax ILDA interface boards. Ok a bit more pricey but quality has a price

Advantage of Rob's board over this board: next to splitting the signal, it also has connections for key, it has a delayed startup, connections for safety stop.
So your set all in once.

I really like the board and have fitted 3 projectors so far, will start on my fourth soon

Maybe you should consider this option ?
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Yep I will give that breakout board a thumbs up. I got one in my projector.

You could also look at Male to Female DB25 leads also.
I got one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

    Works a treat!

Hi mate, great advise! I will check out Stan the man!

A question regarding ILDA cables, are the cables sold as ILDA separately screening each colour and X/Y? Of are they just multicore with a single overall shield?

Like with audio use, I am conscious of crosstalk.

    Hi Wayne,

Good recommendation from Andy and hobbybob. That interface board I showed you last week was one of the Stanwax boards mentioned above. Also you can plug in the colour correction daughter board later. It plugs in from the top and only adds 15mm of height and a little length.

Rob also sells the first contact optics cleaner.

Oh, and there is a shutter output on the interface board so will come in handy for playing with your shutter implementation.
