    Default Lasorb connection conundrum...

Ok, so the datasheet for the Lasorbs says that they should be connected no further than 1cm from the diode.

Well that would require it to be inside the Aixiz housing, but the Lasorb is too big to fit.

So what does everyone else do about mounting their Lasorbs? Do you just mount them as close as reasonably possible?

Any pics to show what you've done?

Ha! Thanks! I wanted to get the lasorb a little closer so it would sit on the base of the modified Axiz module but the smallest soldering tip I had is only so thin.

Now, if I only had the parts to build me a dual blue!

Correct.... although. You may be able to carefully sand off the casing just enough to make them fit.

Acording to Pangolin's product video you just lose protection between the zorb and the diode; if that section is enclosed inside the barrel then there's no problem.

But the barrel is just a codpiece anyway, it just sticks out and gets in the way.
