Default Proper Color Balance with the New 445 Diodes

Has anyone determine the proper ratio red/green/blue to make white with these diodes?

    500mw blue + x red +y green=white

    1w blue +x red +y green=white

I tried using the relative brightness charts but the do not accurately predict the amount of green.

    I'm using 660nm red 532nm green 445nm blue

    Any help would be appreciated.

See my signature; my 1W Kvant has great color balance with 300mw 532, 300mW 640, and 500mW 445.

Just buy as much of each colour that you can afford and have it large, it will look great whatever, its an RGB laser

    Stop it.
    for info I have built RGB with 1W 532 1.2W 640 1W 445nm - white is bloody stunning.
And you only need to add about 200mW to 556 yellow to get a nice white too

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

Does anyone have any opinions on the ratio if the red were 650nm or 660nm?

I would say atleast double the amount of 640.

    Yep.

Arctos used to go by the 20% 445nm, 30% 532nm, 50% 650-660nm rule i think. I didn't believe it until I saw it. We have a laser that has about 600mw 650nm, which matches fine with 300mw of green and about 350mw of 445nm. In fact, we could pull the blue back a little if we wanted to.

Our bigger RGB has 1W green, 1W 445, 2 x 1W 635 and looks too red. we pull one of the reds, and its perfect. So we are throwing in another watt of 445 and eventually green.

All our new stuff will use equal ratios of 445, 532 and 635. I rate 640 pretty much the same as 635 in terms of colour ratios... so yeah.

I would agree. My 400mW of 640 is virtually indistinguishable from the 1W of 650 I used to have.
