Default What I've been working on all weekend...

Well, Unfortunately MIDLEM was a flop but it gave me some much needed time to rebuild my new truck I picked up in FL last week. It's a 99 Chevy 2500HD with a 15' Micky box and a liftgate.

While the truck runs awesome with a remanufactured HUMMER 6.5L turbo diesel and brand new tires, The box was completely roached out box and a heavily smoked in interior. The floor had holes and rot so bad you could fall through it!

Here is some pics after beginning to cut out the rot...

Here is the fixed lift gate with some welding.

Here is the floor completely out, The biggest pain in the ass of a job. Took lots of precision work with a sledge and air hammer.

We took the time to rustproof the frame...

    Here is my dad painting!

Here is the floor in, The bottoms of the 12X2 boards were covered in tar the day before.

The final results after the re-paneling and all the hardware installed...

Don't ever ask me to do this again....
    Enjoy!

Pickup is not a problem but the farthest I'm going west is Wisconsin. I could drop it off near Houston in a couple of weeks. That is if you have someone out there to accept it.

Worked my ass off I tellz ya. Besides that's what portable HID lighting systems are for. I bed the neighbors LOVED listening to skill saws at 10PM.

Thanks! I still have a lot to do. Just replaced all the lighting today and fixed the wiring the rats ate under the hood. I also repainted the front grill and now I'm on the interior. Wait until you see that makeover.

Thanks! I'm using it to move my remanufactured copiers for building my chain of copy centers.

Here is a small color copier ripped apart...
