hey wayne, there is no readily available solution for the 405-g-2 in an m9/0.5 barrel. laser66 sells his own diode holders and lens mounts that are press fit, so not good for changing diodes without destroying them

there are two options. either dave's barrels or the aixiz blanks. having tried both, i would say go for dave's barrels and never look back. really easy to work with and with the usual dave-top-metalworking-standards

Cool, thanks, good to know, especially seeing as I just paid Dave for 4 sets!

I rebuilt my quad today, I am seeing a lot of loss with the Waveplate. Has anyone else tried theirs yet?

BTW, after rotating the diodes for a | shaped beam, I had to move the WP to the other set (compared to my drawing).

are you sure you have rotated the WP to find it's best position? place the power meter in front of the aperture and start rotating the waveplate (while keeping it vertical)
how much losses (%) are you talking about? i still haven't tested mine and as it seems at the moment i will not do so for some time to come

i also think we should start posting the camera settings we use to take each picture... that red looks brighter than the sun there
if i use a tripod and a long enough exposure time, i can make a 5mw pointer look like a bloody laserscope (just a thought, i don't mean to mock your build there wayne)
