I will again when testing the new build, but yes, 5V per div on the scope shows clean flat +-15 and +5. The new one shown here is almost ready for testing anyway.

no it not legal. I also question the products longevity lacking tons of cooling.. scanning likely going to be crap at the low currents/voltages.

Thanks Steve; I have located a suitable crystal that is damaged, but has plenty of undamaged material to be able to cut 1, or possibly 2, crystals. Now all I have to do is locate a local person who has lapidary skills! I found a club, but it's at the opposite end of the country from me.

I've replaced all the semiconductors including the transistor and the diode, and the problem persists. The only thing that seems possible is a breadboard connection failure that survives spraying and re-seating, as unlikely as that seems. so I'll be converting the parts seen in the tray into a...

Progress has been delayed by a problem that has appeared in the previously working SPGN circuit. I can't figure out why the "spiral out rate" control voltage input no longer has an effect on the fall time of the ramp signal that it is supposed to control. The "spiral in rate" and the fine adjust...

Find your local lapidary club. A friend who does lapidary slab sawed some Yellow ND:YAG for me. Cost was 25$ for the rough rectangular stone. Buy a surplus rod of the right length, Let the factory x-ray orient , polish and coat it the cavity facing sides. Sawing it down and polishing the...

As per my other thread, I need to replace an Nd:YVO4 rod from my engraver's laser head. The original rod is diffusion bonded with a 2mm long undoped YVO4 section, bonded to a 10mm long doped section at probably 1.1% as this seems to be the most common. The face dimensions are 4 x 4mm. Many...

I got the ClubMAX with Saturn scanners, however I still do not have a light show variance. I tried applying a few times from Pangolin's web variance application, but they seem to be ignoring me after the sale. I will keep pestering them. I have some questions about general setup, if anyone...

This is probably a stupid question but I was wondering if they sell a stand alone ceiling mount (as opposed to using a light truss clamp) to securely mount my rather heavy laser to the stud behind my standard drywall ceiling in my house. IÂ’m going to be using this laser in a location where a full...

Take home a spare pair of galvos and amps that exactly match what is in your new projectors. Overscan kills Galvos because the Chinese set up everything as wide as possible, for them that is a feature, not a bug, for most users, the ability to drive the scanners to the mechanical stops or to hit...

Found that this plastic sheet designed for anti glare picture framing works really well for a nice fuzz effect. Not too fuzzy, and very little scattered light. It is plastic, so you might not want to put 50 watts through it for a long time, but I just got it as scrap from a framing shop. ...

NO, if any-thing needed to be added back in, Pangolin did it already. Main board change in that mod was the threshold for the limiting diodes was lowered by switching to Schottky diodes from the existing Silicon and the gain on the position demodulator was changed. If Bill Benner tuned them, then...

Hi all, Bought the DT40 Pro back in 2008/2009 and had it shipped directly to Pangolin for modifications. Anyway, I played with it briefly with a single-color laser, lost interest then put it away. I recently dug it out after I came across a 500mw RGB module with TTL/analog modulation I...

I think my direct quote was "...like smashing you in the face with a brick for an hour", and I saw many laser shows by other companies (who shall remain nameless) where I left exhausted with my ears ringing. Laserium was all about PACING. Yes, you should have those high energy numbers - they're...

I think it would be a mistake to try to define Ivan space as devoid of the music that it interprets. And not just any music. There may be a real connection between Laserium's early success and the best of the progressive rock experiments that were happening at the same time. I see clips today and...

Here's photos of a color mapping experiment in which an HSV grid is mapped to cycloids. The desert scene is a scrolling background that resembles a blocky old VIC-20 game. The code that generates the color map has access to the same live and recorded input as the rest of the system so one can set...
