I agree that one of the major draws of this event is the coordinated beam shows. But we'll also have some very cool graphics shows to run this year, don't forget.
I think the voting idea is probably best. After all, it's a community event, so it makes sense to organize it around the community's wants, right?
By the way - update time: Mike Dunn and Greg Makhov have officially notified me that they will be unable to attend, even though they both were really looking forward to coming. Maybe next year guys...
Also, I've been in touch with Carmangary, and he said he's not really interested in doing a formal presentation on his Spaghetti software, but he did say that he'd be happy to demonstrate it and answer any questions about it for anyone who is interested. He'll be arriving in town early Saturday.
Notice that the attendee list has been updated as of 11:30 this morning, and we have a couple new names there. Dean Hammonds will be attending this year (he wrote the analog abstract synthesizer software that was running on James Lehman's projector last year), and we'll also have a new member from around my neck of the woods (Kevin Harris) who will probably be bringing a Lexel 98 for us to try out.
Still waiting for final registration from ljk, 300Evil, Keeprex, and Imagelight. (Saddly, Astroguy will not be able to make it. Work conflict.) Also, remember that today is the deadline for booking your rooms at the Holiday Inn Express if you want to get the group rate of $75 per night.
9 days 'til load-in folks! 9 days 'til load-in!
