True, it can be used to cheat, but in general, it gives the Dj more tools to perform, rather than be limited to pre-recorded material, there are a few dj's out there that do use it to remix on the fly/live , it's all up to the Dj, either cheat,,, or get creative....
Nothing wrong with latest technology tools,,,, IF used appropriately

Truthfully, as much as it pains me to admit it, not a thing we've talked about here matters even slightly to at least 75-80% of the dance floor at these events. As long as they dance and buy booze, everything's peach.

Anybody remember what this thread used to be about?

well, at least this thread hasn't gone the way of prodjallen yet.....

opinions are like assholes..... everybody's got one!

many moons ago, when i was attending local raves, it was not uncommon to see spectra 171's ,, or spectra 168's , indoors.............BEAUTIFULL! bright beams.
and a local nitclub was using mobolazer 1 watt/laserphysics unit.....

the 1 watt, to me, was a nice complement to all the other lighting,it sorta blended in........ but the spectra 171/168's, well to me, those lasers overpowered all the other lighting, and thus, was MORE impressive to me.......
but AGAIN, thats just me...guess i like it when the lasers POP! rather than blend in....

    ohh forget it! LOL

I was controlling lights as well. If you concentrate your lights at the bottom and leave upper area dark you can be ok with 5W green.

thats very impressive for outdoors with only 2.2 RGB.... all that smoke makes a huuge difference in the visibility of the laser..... NICE!

these definitely can't be 5W if they're shooting them in the audience... the sun is setting down in the west but you can still see the beams clearly. i wonder
