considered business not child's play...
When money changes hands a contract is formed and both parties must adhere
to their part of the contract...
The problem is that it seems that Chris still thinks it's child's play...
If I go into a deal with someone and that some one renegs on the deal
I will pursue him with all my ability to make it right... That is not childish...
That is business...

Thanks for the info Matt. In fact I dealt several times with Chris and always got what I expected and what was described, so I will keep looking at his stuff as long as he will stay on ebay or elsewhere.
I know from the forums that not everybody had luck with Chris' stuff but hey it's often too cheap to be true so what.
Don't you think it's a bit childish to continue your vendetta over the years?
There are others, like me, who enjoy looking at the stuff he sells and sometimes buy it.

I have received an email request from the owner of the bambi81478 ebay account requesting that a single post in this thread be deleted and have done so. I am ill prepared to research this matter and not legally required to determine whether or not bambi81478 is Chris Leubner or herrursciences or hesc_photonics and my opinion of this matter is that I have no opinion.

The about me page filled out by bambi81478 on ebay as 05.05.2010@20:31 EST states that "We are not Chris". Here is a link to said page: http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...rid=bambi81478

Due to ebay's relative inability to provide copies of past content, as proven to me personally by being unable to revert changes made in my own personal "About Me" page, I have made an image copy of said page as a personal backup.

I neither know nor care if bambi81478 is Chris Leubner and have had no personal experience with either that would allow me to have a personal opinion one way or the other.

So heres a funny observation. Jackie (bambi81478) says he/she is new to ebay in their ME page, yet ebay shows them as being a member for 3 years and 3 months. I wonder what they have been doing that long on ebay without having any feedback?

Just an observation.
So we have a new laser seller on ebay! Yay! Lets hope they are a standup seller and know what they are selling.

they supposedly bought a ton of Laser Stuff from a guy recently and they can't
remember his name...

I think the reason for this is because the business owners name, if i remember, was Chris.

I find it highly unlikely that an eBay member that sells jewelry in flea markets
and can't remember the name of the guy that sold him/her a large lot of Laser
Diodes would even know about PL or any other Laser Forum for that matter..
Let alone know where to read any thread and how to contact the Admin here...

IIRC.... Chris always threatened to take legal action against someone or
something he didn't like...

That eBay seller REALLY smells too fishy...

Surely he would be more than happy to clear up the "misunderstanding" consdiering this "jackie" really did him a favor by buying off his crap, I mean "stuff". We all know Chris knows how to, and now "Jackie" obviously knows how to also considering the legal threat.

"Jackie", inqurining minds want to know who you are, how you met Chris, and why you bought all that laser stuff when you have no experience with it considering that you are a jewlrey seller. We also are DYING to know what youve been up to all these years. We see you registered on ebay over 3 years ago and just now are being an active member. Why?

I have a proposition for you. Seeing as you like to make gambles (you did buy alot of stuff you have zero experience with afterall) I am looking to sell out of ALL my laser and science related gear. Can I put you down for the whole lot? You should have no touble selling it.

Off to puke now...

I don't think I want to remember that. Because for me it is exactly this: playing.
1. When I buy stuff on the internet for 1 cent per dollar value I only spend money which I can afford to lose
2. When I make a bad deal with someone I put that guy on my personal black list and never buy anything from him again, regardless how good their deals are.

When I look at matt's post I see that 70% of them go to this thread many of which are full with "screw you" and other swear words so I cannot see any acting to support the community here. It's in my opinion only a campaign driven by hate.
This does of course not contradict the fact that Chris has often proved to act not very professional, this may all be true.
My Intention here is only to keep the balance. I don't want to start a war here. It is easy to read here on the forums that it's a risk to by at Chris, but it is eveybodys own risk. I just mention here that some people ,including me, have good experiences with him too, and got good stuff for very good prices which where otherwise hard to get.

He broke the rules of business. He broke the rules of ebay. He broke the rules of society. I dont get to brake the rules, so neither should he. Ebay DID something about it, and I believe he is trying to undo the justice THEY did. RARELY do we get to do something about something that is wrong. Now we have our chance! Lets take this golden opportunity to show people like him that rules are made to be followed.

I dont care how many people he made happy. He made hundreds unhappy. That aint right. Youve got a major issue if hundreds of people are pissed at you. Simple as that. Capitalism devours shoddy business. He is cheating the system, and I wont stand for it.

I will attempt a couple legit ways to PROVE he is who he is, and I encourage everyone to do the same.

Dont email him, send him threats, or bug him. Just report him. Ebay has their ways. The more reports they get, the more they take notice. They told me so. You do see he was banned several times from Ebay, so you know it will work. Click the link, tell ebay, and hope for justice. If it truly is someone named Jackie, then they will be fine.
