I got a UKLEM raffle shut down becuase of paypal policies this year , although i was specifically told it was due to someone reporting it , somone in here just likes to cause "difficulties" , i was lucky in some ways they didnt lock my account, just warned me off

I spoke to pp and they said the reciever of the $$$ even though frozen could contact them to refund the cash. The account stays frozen though. Maybe I just got a lady but this IS how she said it could be done. - jimmy

Maybe it's time to have some no guests (*Have to* be logged in to read) subforums. That's just my opinion.

As far as the donations go: I sent a gift. so either playpal can send my funds along to whom they were sent free, clear and without lien *or* they can issue a refund to me as of now.

Reckon I ourta stir the pot a bit?

i had an idea that may allow us to finish this if some one with paypal
will take it on.

that is we start this again on another thread with the numbers already issued
and the rest of the fund raiser would go somthing like this

the remaining ticket sales would be for a virtual key ring with a number on it
and you would then be buying goods so no rules are broken
just means remaining ticket sales would have to go up by 4% to cover pp fees

get where i am going with this

just need a kind soul to take it on

then that way admin would get half the money now and the rest in 179 days

all you can do is file a dispute not that will get you anywhere
all donations where sent as gifts

sorry guys there is nothing i can do about it and i feel bad enough
about this as it is with out getting a load of grief demanding refunds
i am happy to refund every one if you can get paypal to unlock my account
other than that we will have to wait it out for the 180 days

Come on guys, give Badger a break, he as with all of us was trying to do a good deed for admin by running this lottery.
All we had to do was follow the clear instructions laid out at the beginning, I too have entered into this lottery for 2 reasons, I would like to help admin if I can and also the chance to win the laser thanks to the kind offer from Edison. It would be good if this lottery can be seen through to the end maybe someone can expand on the virtual keyring idea? or any others.
If we want to point the finger of blame then it has been said that the flag was raiser by a participant of this lottery as they put the wrong details in the message box, lets all check our email back from paypal to see if anyone will own up to the mistake?

First, don't 'fret', personally.. we all know you are not to blame, in all this - you were the first one to 'demonstrate' your fidelity by saying 'I put-in, and don't get any tickets'...

Yeah, being 'vengeful' is never healthy, but it sure would be good of the 'Einstein' that did this, to at-least 'man-up' and come forward / admit his/her mistake / apologize to you / everyone... they've screwed this pooch for 6-months!!

I told them to , so, my acct, for-now, till I decide to 'forgive' them, is out...

Any-way you can (even-if *thru* a friends' acct) go OVER 'Michaels' head? Try and get in-touch with a 'supervisor'? IS there a PP-UK phone-center you can call / reason-with, or does it all get routed back to the US / India? ...I mean, *sometimes* things like this can be a matter of 'who you talk to'... There is a difference between "can't"... and "won't"...

Sorry to hear you got into so much personal troubles having your PP account locked out.
Strange that people keep shouting at PP or "someone that informed them", since you clearly stated that one of the participants did fuck it up by putting in Lottery or Raffle in the field, while you also specifically asked to NOT TO USE those words ;-)
