It seems to be that the preview window will show the BAM on the active cue whilst the BAM dialogue box is open. Once you close the BAM dialogue box the BAM disappears from the preview window. Don't have my projector connected here so cannot confirm what happens to the laser output. I would assume that the BAM is correctly implemented when using 'live' output.

Many laserist use the bam to lower the power in the audiance. This is where the bam is all about (and protect dlp's and camera's).

But this is with ld2000., maybe thera are some bugs in qs

We had it working that day at yours Jem after the 2nd attempt so it certainly works under some circumstances.

As I don't have a projector I can't check myself either so if yours is down, I guess its going to be down to another QS user to run some tests.

No, there's no problem with the BAM's. I was merely pointing out how it appears to only show the BAM's in the preview window when the BAM dialogue box is open. I've used the BAM's plenty of times with my projector and they work fine, but i've never bothered to look how they're represented on the preview window when the laser is active.

Anyway... Dark nights will soon be here and then it's time to play

    Cheers

I tried using the beam attenuation today and could not get it to work. I have the latest version of pangolin qs, I enabled beam attenuation on the main projector zone and then selected a cue and made sure that it was using the main projector zone.

At 30% the beam was still full on and then when it went into the 20% zone it went black. Anybody have any ideas?

This sounds to me like a TTL / analogue conflict .... IE the DAC is sending variable signals ( voltages ) so it set to analogue ... but the lasers are TTL .... only respond OFF/ON at particular voltage

+1. Sounds like you got TTL lasers.

My thoughts also, although not consistent with the first post.
If you made it work in ld2000, you can make it work in QS.

A 0% bam should work for ttl lasers too.

WAIT a minute, you DID select analog in the projector settings, didnt you ?

    Settings > Quick Set Up

To check or re-set the laser type.
