Also in the next few weeks, i'll be putting together a shows available list (every genre imaginable) so people can vote for what they want to see, I have much more content than we have time (yes days worth) most of it is graphics but there are some very cool beam shows also. We can duplicate beam shows even if wanted in the schedule. I am also going to try to borrow some content if the owners don;t show that I don;t think has ever been scene before but very cool. (I also own some William Moore, LFI and other content that I have never scene anywhere before)

I was gonna start listing, but i'll wait till I make the list, lets just say there is a lot of cool stuff from some great artists, ranging from old analog consoles, to Amiga generated graphic / abstract shows, to current modern hardware.

I need to get a feel for what is wanted to be scene as a lot of this is on ADAT and i'll have to sync and dub custom tapes or ingest them to the PC. It will be quite time consuming.

Open for ideas and suggestions as to what you would like to see at this LEM besides shows. Being smaller some stuff will be limited, but would like everyone to enjoy themselves.

Ok was able to visit the theater venue I had in mind, I think it will work, it has high 25~30' ceilings a couple different elevations off the stage which is elevated 4' off floor level. The lighting for poke is on simple thin single wires coming down, the owner stated they could be lifted higher or pulled out of the way. I think this venue will be good, price $400 a day so $800 total for saturday and sunday, Friday a free evening load-in day. 4th pic is looking stage out to audience, 5th is looking audience to stage. Yes I expect to not break even on this the first year, so don't fear the price wont be crazy high per attendee. Thinking we may only get 10 or so people so would like to get mayb4 like $40 each so i only have to pay half out of pocket.

Let me know what you think. NO fire system or alarms to worry about, but no alarm system either; however they said someone could stay on site if we are very concerned or if we stay next door (see post below) im sure we can rig up some remote monitoring.

The nearest chain hotels are 15~20 minutes away in the $50 ~$100 price range. However there is a inn just a block away with 7 rooms available, a lounge room, kitchen, conference area. These rooms go for $90 to $125 a night, or you can rent the whole place with free roam and ownership for $995 a night. WOndering how this might split up if we had 7 takers for real rooms that be $300 each for friday and saturday night, but thinking we could get the price down if we had some wanting to crash on the couches, floor chairs whatever.
The rooms are very nice with walk in showers etc. Only one of the rooms has two beds all the others are singles. This inn is also on the flat river with balcony's and walk around porches. So you could book individual rooms here if wanted but it might be nice to own the whole place.

Looks like the venue & inn both have great possibilities!!!

I think a skrim would be a definite "plus" -
although I'm not real keen on the pink t-shirts at the inn....

Any idea how far out reservations would have to be locked in to reserve the rooms & venue?

    BTW -

I'm probably goig to be spending some time in Ann Arbor (business) later in the month.
Grand Rapids may be a bit outside my travel allotment, unfortunately....
