Well tonight was the first time I had time to really mess with it and the projector. And 2 hours of messing with the neos and Pangolin, Ive got a beautiful crisp white, and 1.42 watts at the galvos. So yeah Im very very happy!!!! Only thing to make it better is to get the yellow line in the mix too..lol!!
    enjoy!

WOW .... gas lasers just do for me .... why do they look so good .... and that show just blends all the pastel colours together so nice ... maybe its a combo of the neos rather than the hard modulation of diodes ... i see it as a Guitarist ....the sound i get through my late 1970s 100W Hiwatt valve amp can not compare with any solid state amp of today ..... the warmth just bubbles out of the analogue technology

    All the best

Nice... I love to hear a happy ending... err, beginning..

RE: 1.42 W... wow, are you losing that much off steering optics? I'd think you should be able to see at least 1.8W or so, out of the AOM... I'm sure you've done all you can to 'tweek' / peak / clean brewsters, etc, etc.. - wondering though, if one other 'technique' might help ya milk a few more mW out...

...Sometimes, even though you might have the laser-head and the AOM on a nice 'even' plane (ie: same breadboard / table, etc..) the head - due to the feet - can-be ever-so-slightly 'rotated', relative to a perfect vertical-match to the AO's pol. - if the head is 'rolled', even 1-2˚ off-perfect V, you can lose quite a few mW, even if your bragg-angle is peaked the best it can-be...

Quick way to check - w/O moving adjusting the feet / head - is to get yourself a 1/2~ plate - best, one that is BBAR-coated - and put it flush on the head-aperture, w/o changing anything else in the set-up, and see if, thru slight rotation - and, yes, perhaps a slight re-tune of your bragg-peak - you may be able to get a slight-gain in thruput... Then, you can either try and 'match' that - if it's, like, *really* off (5-10˚) - via adjusting one-side of the head's feet, (and lowering the other, to 'roll', w/o changing position on the x-tal center too-much), or, with a simple 'one-side shim' or two, if the head is only slightly 'off' ...But even 'shimming' would be preferable to just 'leaving' the 1/2~ plate in-place, cause, even 'BBAR', it's still gonna R ~0.5-1%, so you might kill any 'thruput gains' w/ it inline...

..of course, you can also 'solve' this with an über-expensive 'XYZ' mount for the AOM, but.... ..prolly not as-welcome a solution...

Curious - what Driver do you have, 8ch? or 4? If 8, might just be a matter of a quick Freq. spank or levels-tune, in the driver, itself for the 568-line... I'm in process, just-today, of helping another member of the 'PL IOC' work on his, so, got 'fresh info' on that... Lemme know if that's the case, if I can help at all... You are also welcome to tell me to jump in a lake, that's fine, too...

nice colors! and small tip, move your christal (neos) around a bit to see when have max output.
some used christals have bad (black) spots from long time used or over power
    laser greets joost
