the good 637 500mW-1W solution
I am looking for the best cheap solution for a 637 source of 500-1000mW depending on the cost.
I like the 637 due to the single mode and very good low divergeance
actually my projector need to have more red to match the 532 and 447nm for a better white balance.
Actually i have to lower the 532 and 445 intensity to get a good balance but it also reduce the total output power capability as well.
I am really satisfied with the Laserwave OEM pro S module that i have and i just wonder wich would be the best cheap solution.
I actually have one 170mW 637 source from laserwave. My blue is a 447 of 800mW and the green is a 532 of 650mW. without intensity correction it's a little greenish/bluish as well.
I also have probelm with the green blanking that is offset in intensity and in QS i can not correct the balnking of rgb color individually. I suspect that the problem is due to the very low modulatio range of the green because it is dimmed to accomodate the white balance.
Now.. i am questioning about the best possible solution to add some red.
Option 1: I wonder if i keep my actual 637 170mW and just add another one from laserwave for about 210$ and combine it with a BS cube... so i would get just 340mW total.. and keeping under 1mrad divergenace would it be ok.?. i have doubt...... but it's 340mW of 637 with <1mrad divergeance wich is pretty intense compare to a 650 or 660 of the same power.. maybe 800mW equivalent 650 ? But anywai i would still have lack of red...
Option 2:
or if i sell my 637 170mW and buy a more powerfull one 600mW from Laser wave
but would get <2mrad of 600mW 637 (1075$ Ouch !)
instead of 1mrad 340mW of 637 ( 210$)
Option 3:Or if i build one myself with a quad 4 x 170mW 637 in knife edge 2 x 2 or combine 2x knife edge with BS cube... cost?
Option 4:
Crazy option and buy a Kvant of 680mW for about 1800$ !!! ouch!
Option 5:
I keep the actual 637 and add a 638 500mW that i build and add some anamorphic prism to correct the divergeance and beam size...( 500$ ?)
What would you do?
I always keep in mind that overall the best would be to get abuot 1W of red.. but i dont have the money for that because i want to keep low divergeance too.
Thanks for any help or offer !
