    Hi Everyone

I can confirm that the venue is reserved for Sunday 12th August .

The venue is Leicester Square , 170 Belgrave Gate , Leicester LE1 3XL

We should have access from 10am to approx 12pm.

My pub kitchen will stay open til 6 pm, so we can adjurn for a feed around 5 pm. Its a 5 min walk through the city. Menu can be seen here. Advance orders are welcome. Please everyone , I will need some rough numbers, as we normally close the kitchen earlier, and a large number turning up with no warning will piss off the chef, and you know what a bad thing that could be ! Please visit Firebug at http://www.firebugbar.co.uk/ Sunday Roast Dinner and Full english breakfast are served all day. Veggies are catered for !

For you guys with the gas units, the big room is two stories up stairs, and no lift ! Sorry. Loading access is at the rear of the building.

Anyone with water coolers needs to let me know the requirements for power and water as I not sure about the water and 3 -phase.

Sound and lighting are supplied, and a Jem Club Smoke system. The main room has a 1 meter mirroball ! The room is also able to completely black out . Tunes are not supplied, remember this is a rock club

The middle floor room is a pool hall and sports bar, and will be open during the day and evening for refreshments, pool etc.

Oh and the toilets are not nice, so you know what to do before you arrive!

Neil, can you bring your distro. The club has 63, 32, and 16a ceeform outlets at the stage end. Ta

I look forward to meeting all of you. Anyone who would like to put together a list of things to do during the day, maybe an itinerary can be put together for the day. Just a thought .

    Regards

O.K., So, I'll be bringing my almost completed, homebrew 900Mw(ish) RGB. If i'm extremely lucky I may even get it finished in time. But, hey, it works

I'll also bring my laptop running Mamba Black and my MediaLas DAC.

One of my mates is interested in tagging along (he's into fiber optics and other stuff for BT).

    Cheers

    Jem

Fluff my whitelight will need lots of power. The power input has a 32A connector on it (male)
(this type of thing - http://tinyurl.com/2gqdhx)
so ideally a power feed with a matching female connector would be just swell. In the absence of this I can bring some 10mm T&E with such a connector on - i will just need access to a min of 40A breaker in a board as close to where we are setting up as possible.

As for water....it needs 2.8GPM but the fact that we are upstairs may mean that its hard to get enough pressure to pump that through the system. I will bring my little pump with me and some hoses to connect it all up.

Are there any tables - preferably big strong ones to put the gear on. The head is not too heavy but I dont want it dropping to the floor the exciter and auto xfmer weigh a bleedin ton - but will be ok on the floor.

Jem - what do you mean 'I may even get it finished in time' - you'd better order yourself a 5litre can or two of midnight oil

    As for an Itinerary

    10 - 10:30 - setup
    10:30- 5pm - play with lasers
    5pm-5:15 - food
5:15 - till they throw us out - play with lasers

    I cant wait!

    Hi Rob

From memory , I installed a board with either a 32amp ceeform or a 63a ceeform, so it should be ok. Your pic shows a blue connector ( single phase ). I may be able to get 3-phase if anyone needs it. I'll nip in and check as soon as I can.

I think we'll have to wing it with the water. A large B&Q is very close by !!

Plenty of tables, I think, but there is also a stage , so heavy stuff can sit on it.

I'll try to post some images of the venue, so you can all see the layout, and what can be done, laswerwise !!

I should be able to muster 5 or six lasers . Also a large box of optics, diodes, mounts, cases , scanners and drivers, dacs , all to sell off.

    Regards
