Who provided the projectors? What specs?
Some really nice pictures! I'll be anxious to hear what these projectors were too. Pics 1, 3, 4 and 14 in particular.
Hi
Just like to thank the guys for making me feel welcome, again...
Thanks to Jem for organising it, looks like my camera did a good job of the Orinoco Flow... Shame I didn't catch cow wars of Fish heads with it :-)
Thanks to Janet for the food, and hope to see more of you guys soon...
Cheers
Paul

The two outermost projectors were Rob's Green/blue 'shoeboxes'. Of the centre three RGB's the the centre on and the one on the right were Rob's and the one on the left of centre was Kev's (Kevski).
They were all pretty well balanced power wise and looked awesome. So, BIG thanks to Rob for carting his gear over and a BIG thanks to Dan for 'converting' or splitting most of the shows we played to take full advantage of using multi-projectors. I believe he mapped them to three different zones.

There is another that states that this has already happened.”... Douglas Adams 1952 - 2001
From memory powers were 2w for the blue/green shoeboxes, 1.5w for centre RGB and around 2-3w for outer two RGB's.
They were mapped to 3 zones as Jem has said, centre, 'main truss' RGB's and 'satellite' GB's.
Some of the most interesting effects came from zone "jumping" whilst playing back the shows IMO which created some really nice dark space or projectors doing different things rather than all 5 just having the same playback.
One of the most entertaining shows (can't remember which one it was) wasn't exactly as intended as DJ Jem played a completely different track to the one on the show whilst Dan adjusted playback speed and restarted playback as necessary to fit the music. Worked really well.
Mellow Jem Lem is such a contrast to Surfleet - they are both essential yet both so different.
Mark is correct - 2x Stanwax 2W blue green shoeboxes at sat. positions, Centre is a 1.3W RGB shoebox, centre right 2.6W RGB shoebox (these are not laserworld 1.3 and 2.6W this is measured power off the scanners at the output) Centre right is the 3W RGB I built for Kevski 3 years ago and that along with the BG shoeboxes has been a Showlem fixture. Nice to see projectors I have built looking so fine together.
Sunday morning was so cool - once I arrived back on this planet from space (at least thats how it felt when I woke on Sunday), Pink Floyd and mellow laser beams - perfection!
Shame we didnt get to see so many of the Lasererium DVD Steve had but Im sure we will get another op - old skool laser joy.
Brilliant to see Mr Stewart at the meet too, maybe next time if we have a better turn out he can give us a breif safety taster
I have to say great to see Paul (veinhead) again - you made me laugh so much.
Now lets get in the mood for Surfleet chaps!
Rob
If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
