Not the sort of music with a lasery vibe, in my book, but Fair Play! Any idea who's doing this?

Not sure I agree prog rock does not have a "lasery vibe", but maybe I just read different books. lol
Remember where all this began with Ivan and Laserium. Anyone remember the "set list" for the Laserrock shows? But I agree not the norm, a real shame in my book. Most of my earlier laser work was with more conventional rock music/bands than electronic or disco music. Just an old gashead reminiscing, and my 10p
But thanks for the link, great to see.
Cheers
Steve
@Laserhobbit, as a guy who does Pink Floyd laser shows I think certain styles of prog have a "lasery vibe". Generally the trippy psychedelia. You can put lasers to anything, but I don't think it worked very well for Metallica, Muse only get away with it by sheer overkill, and other forms of music look gratuitous. As for "dance" music - an onslaught of thuds, bleeps and clicks barely cognized by audiences of drunken/drugged teens and adults with learning difficulties - meh :-P

smokeAndMirrors,
I totally agree, seems like we are on the same page of said book
Cheers

It was strange to see the Arctic Monkeys with a laser show at this year's Glastonbury, which was something that didn't seem to gel.

I think the 'yoot' would be overjoyed to hear that the old folk still don't 'get' dance musicAs for "dance" music - an onslaught of thuds, bleeps and clicks barely cognized by audiences of drunken/drugged teens and adults with learning difficulties - meh :-P
As it stands, my main areas of work are underground dance music, and I would have to say that on the whole, the 'yoot' are not trying hard enough!
The last (semi-legit) outdoor event I did, I did a lot of moaning about how tame it all was! I did try to 'edjucayt' them, but at 11am on Sunday it appeared not many were listening (or even still awake! Lightweights...)

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Dear Old Git:
I am delighted that you find the current brand of music which sounds like an accident in a hoover factory inscrutable, it shows how fucked-up u sixties hippies r compared to us sofistkated types u r a gay nob.
How much for a lazer show on the 21st?
Sincerely
Yoot.
Good times.
Just thought I'd mention that if a person can be measured by their choice of DJ, then rather than Tiestö, I'll have Shadow. Both good but I know which I'd find time for on a desert island. Not nearly enough shadow on a desert island, is there?

Muse only get away with it by sheer overkill? I wouldn't call 8 x TRIPAN's overkill. Have you seen the show? Muse get away with it because the entire show is programmed as one entity involving all departments at the right time. Not only that MUSE are using lasers and mirrors in a way I have never seen before. Out of interest, where did you see the show? Metallica use a lot of laser for one song, thats it. In true Metallica fashion they use lasers hard and fast. Where did you see the Metallica show?
