I'm thinking apply for a temporary road closure, allow access only then we can just run a cable to jims

I've just re-stocked my cable tie selection, I'm sure we could rig something up along telephone and power cables

That has to be cheaper than me setting up a Cellular AP, although I've done it before (At Jemlem) and pushed a couple of Gb upstream and the Network provider didn't even flinch!

I should be able to help you if it's linux based.. thats kinda my job.

I'm working on bringing a sever to hook up "webcams" to, then push the streams back to a dedicated server for all to view.

Reality is I'll probably be too tired to do any of it and just want to sip whisky, talk crap and get my photon fix! (Plus I won't be there till Saturday arvo I'd say)

I've got loads of Wifi gear / routerboards / switches / cat5 and etc so let me know if you need any bits to get it working.

If you get the permits, I'll supply the fibre in amour and networking kit.

    Hey guys,

i picked up the Hi Mark lasermarker head. 100W YAG and 1.0mW of 632.8nm (as a pointer ?)
The powersupplies were in the basement, and as big as my mouth is, so small are my muscles ;-(
There were 2 powersupplies (1 with a 63A scary plug, and one spare psu / qswitch with a 32A).

So i will pick both up next week, but don't know if i am able to bring them to the LEM since they weigh like 200kg per rack.
And as always, Daniel was right, it was the Model 3800 on the side of the rack...

Both racks have pump, reservoir, q-switch a scary highvoltage transformer and a Amp meter that goes up to 30A.

One has 6100h on the clock, the other rack shows 13000hrs.

Oh yeah i also got a full box of spare parts (like 4 or 5 flashlamps!) the original PC with software (dunno if it runs) and an old monitor (well i will replace that for a tft).

The original floppies that came with it, were zipped by this very nice man and send to me by Wetransfer.
Which was a smart move since i think they wouldn't survive moving that much and are from 1989/1992 (actually i got a phone call from Napoleon Bonaparte that he wanted his floppies back).

So basically i got all the stuff, only half is in my garage at this moment.
So i am a bit in doubt if i bring it or not.

Is there 63A three phase ? Since i am a small boy and only use smallboy electronics, i don't know much about and am not allowed to touch the big guys electricity stuff like Jim does ;-)

Else I might be trying to convert my green/blues to rgb, or just have fun and have a rest (although i can't see myself sitting on a chair watching lasers all weekend without touching a screwdriver or a grinder....)

The pink laser aka the Gayzer is still in use in a project for a municipality and if it still is next week, will fund my trip to the uk easily, so i'd rather leave it running and make me money while i am out having fun with you guys !

Lol, These questions always make me smile

Jim... Do you want to add to the checklist of people you need to contact & warn we're having a laser meet...

National Grid - Check (maybe run the question " any possibility of installing a new sub station at the hall" by them)
    CAA - Check
    Plod - Check
Highways Agency (Andy's request) - Check
BT/Openreach... Please Sir, can we use your poles to rig our fiber cable to Jim's house?

    Lol

Dimmer's... Throw it in the car, that's gotta be worth a look at
